Photo Shoot Dilemma...
I HAVE to wear somethnig white-ish, but my skin tone looks horrific in white, so I'm going for this light taupe drapey dress. Question is...how do I accessorize? I KNOW I want some kind of crown and a chunky necklace for sure... I was thinking gauntlets would look very warrior queen also...but it's going to be an outdoor end of October in Minnesota! Help????

Remember McDonaldland? The Hamburglar was always my favorite. AND you can carry around a bag of cheeseburgers, in case you get hungry!
Also, I don;t care what anyone says, the 1970's Hamburglar was SCARY!!!

I personally do not have a denim shirt in my closet, but I know a few thrift stores where I can probably score one on the cheap. Red Bandanas are always on sale at your local Wal-Mart. The rest is matte make up, dramatic cat eyes and personal preference. I figured a high waisted pant and work boots would work best...

Flight Attendant? Sounds sterile and stuffy. Stewardess however conjurs images of the 50s and 60s.... grab your favorite skirt suit, tie a beautiful scarf arou nd your neck and pile your hair up in a neat chignon and you're First Class.

This one's super fun and easy! The hard part is finding the right red coat- but you could get an old red sweater, cut it down the middle, use a little tacky glue to make the seams and add a row of big buttons. Then grab a frilly white shirt (or a frilly white scarf!) and a pair of black leggings and you're off to the party store for a cheap pirate hat and sword!

DIY Halloween: Maleficent
There are TWO challenges with Maleficent-the horned head dress and the makeup. SO SO SO much can go wrong picking the correct shade of green for your skin. It's best to practice, practice, practice. Stay away from that greasy halloween face paint and blend on a light green shadow and build up highlights and low lights and use a good spray fixative to keep it in place OR skip the green skin and go for a Maleficent inspired eye makeup instead! The horned headdress...I've never seen it done well. I have seen some cute alternatives- like little black horns that you tie on, or glue to a headband..and some super cute twisted up twin tails made to look like horns and fabulous glittery horned crowns! Then, go for a slinky black dress, a cape and maybe a staff and you're all set. Attitude is Everything with Maleficent!

Yzma is really an over the hill showgirl- so go for slinky, flashy and more than a little trashy. False Eyelashes are a MUST- in fact, find the longest ones you can!
